Dr. Sanavi is a leading  specialist in periodontal dentistry and osseointegrated implant technology.

A recipient of the prestigious Chase Award for Achievement in Periodontics, Dr. Sanavi maintains a strong involvement with the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine with an emphasis on academic research. He currently holds an appointment of Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Periodontics, and as a member of the Surgical Staff at the university's Implant Center.

Dr. Sanavi has published many articles and abstracts on periodontal dentistry in academic and scientific publications and has presented numerous lectures by invitation.

Dr. Sanavi has conducted long term clinical research in the field of periodontics, enabling him to bring the latest in academic innovation to practice at Pennsylvania Dental Associates.
